SLOLAF can help consumers with “pandemic debt” (debt incurred between 2020 and 2022) with matters including predatory lending, advice about and defenses to debt collection practices, wage garnishment and bank levy defense, help with credit reporting problems and credit discrimination, bankruptcy, and other debt matters including student loans, auto loans, credit card debt and medical debt.

  • Be free from false or misleading representations

  • Be free from debt collection due to identity theft

  • Stop the contact from debt collectors

  • Request verification of the debt

  • Dispute any alleged debt

  • File a complaint with governmental agencies
